My wifes Ipad showed update for 15.7 not the 16.0. Found this on web .

A little late

I've been out of the country for over two weeks and did not want to chance problems while overseas, so I have just now updated. So far my iPhone 8+ seems to be happy with the update.

My iPad

Is on 15.7 and shows up to date…16 is nowhere to be found

I think I read that Apple is going directly to iPadOS 16.1 about the middle of October.

I usually stay on the previous ios version until the current matures a bit. So ipadOS 15.7 it is, and not ipadOS 16 yet.
