I set up a route on Mapquest and d/l it to my Nuvi 350 and got a successful d/l message but when I run the route on the Nuvi, it is the regular route that Nuvi would show and not the one that I set up.

Anyone else had this problem? I e-mailed Mapquest about this but have not heard back from them. Thanks

I've noticed some files like the antiques file and the rest area file are usually on the front page. what determines if/when a file appears on the front page?

Ran into this article on autoblog. As has been stated often, a GPS unit can't overcome stupidity.

I am new to this GPS receiver stuff and would like to know if all GPS units display my latitude and longitude of where I would be standing at that time.I want to find vacant land for sale and many times they give this info out.

Just got my first gps a TomTom One. Has anyone done any geocaching with this unit. Also I have a coworker who would like to buy one for camping and fishing spots. Is this unit any good if you are off the road in the middle of a forest and you find a fishing hole you want to come back to another time?

I have a Garmin 660; I was able to download POI, icon, and sound alert for redlight cameras. I have downloaded another POI, BankofAmerica; it downloads OK, I can see them listed under custom POIs, but I cannot get them to display. I have downloaded the BofA .bmp icon, and the names are identical (except for the file type)...any suggestions? Thanks, Steve

I am using poi-2.5-final-20040302.jar for my project to create excel files.
My system is having Microsoft Excel 2002 (SP-2) version, but my client is having Microsoft Office Excel 2003 (SP-3).
My problem is that I can download the excel file with no formatting issues , but client is not able to download the same and is getting error as

Hello, I have a Garmin c530 and I would like to know if anyone has the original Eng. voice file for the unit. All I have is the maximized voice Eng. file for the unit and I just wanted the version that came with the unit as a back up.

This is the place to talk about things that are not gps related, you can discuss whatever you would like, as long as it is clean. Remember we have families that have their children involved in the GPS fun and we don't want to make parents feel uncomfortable when their children ask what that word means.
