POI Verifier now compatible with Vista SP1

That is really great news!!! I am really excited to hear that new GPS enthusiasts will have the ability to purchase this program and save time and frustration when creating POI files for POI Factory.

I still can't go to the website, in Vista, but I downloaded it at work and it works great. Now I don't have to boot into XP to check the POI's. Thanks for all the hard work.

I downloaded the program back in August 2007 and paid the $6. Do I need to do that again for the Vista SP1 version??

POI Verifier should remember your registration when you upgrade. Use Window's Uninstall to remove the old version and install the new one. If you have any problems just email me at the address on the website.

Thanks.... It is one very useful (and great) program.

It looks like I'm late on the scene to find a copy of POI Verifier. The author's web site is no longer hosting the file. Does anyone else have a copy they can make available ? or email it to me at scsigirl@verizon.net

The author of the program posted roughly a week ago that he would no longer be supporting the program. A few whiners gave him a hard time for having the 'gall' to charge a very small fee for the program ($10).

Even if you could find a copy I believe it would be crippled without ponying up that tiny amount for what was, apparently, a very useful program.

Maybe the people who complained are busy writing their own programs that they'll offer for free
