Totally new...help!

Hey...so I'm a total noobie at this....just bought a simple Garmin nuvi GPS for my everyday needs (1st time )and man I have found out that this is a lot more high tech than I thought. Any suggestions on how to get the basics? What are the best downloads etc.....I have been trying to dl red light cameras and all that stuff but just not sure if I am doing this right. And before I screw something up I thought I had better ask lol...Sorry about the "noobie" basic stuff...just not sure what I am doing yet lol! Thanks for any suggestions ahead of time.

Also new to GPS world
Just ordered a Garmin StreetPilot c550 Auto GPS w/ Bluetooth Capability for Handfree Calling. Never used a GPS before but with all the road detours around here it was the way to go. The last detour took me 30 miles out of my way because to ramps in a row were closed. Once a week I drive over 100 miles one way on way to my daughter farm.
If anyone has any advice or problems for the unit please tell. Can't wait to start using it. I paid for over night service.
