So let me get this straight. You were going to post the post but the post was already posted by another poster so rather than posting a new post you just posted to the post that was posted already?! (LOL)(Who's on first?)

GEE, why didn't I think of that!

Rain in Chicago in December - not uncommon, but a lot of accidents this morning because of it. Actually, the news reporters blaming it in black ice. neutral

Our neighbors to the north have had a little snow overnight - up to a foot in the Wisconsin Dells area and nine inches or more in the Madison area.

Hello, I'm a new person here

Hello Everyone,

We've had our nuvi200w for a year now and I'm just now getting some poi files. I drive for car dealerships so I am always going to new cities trying to find where I am to pick up or drop off vehicles. My hubbie got the GPS for me so I wouldn't get lost.

Have any of you named your GPS unit? We named ours Gabbie Garmin because sometimes she can be a bit intrusive with repeating the directions too often.

Has anyone ever tried to get your GPS unit to accept a address such as 26485 25 1/2 Rd. Mine would not accept that type of address when I tried to type it in.

Well that is me for now. It is nice to meet everyone.

Post from work

Yes

welcome Jackie

Hope you enjoy the site. Some times you will really have a fit with addresses. just have to play with the wording to figure out how Garmin has put them into the maps. maybe if you can give us the whole address we can help you figure it out. Looking at mapsource just now, which is the same as the maps etc that the unit maps have shows a 25 1/2 rd.

I think changing the car to a pizza is in order. (I wonder if I can ask Aarrgghh to make a vehicle icon that looks like a squirrel?)

New England weather

This weekend it was 8 degrees (not factoring in the wind chill), today it's 60 degrees and on Friday we're getting back the cold weather along with sleet and snow.

N.E. is living up to it's "if you don't like the weather, wait a minute" reputation.

Heading to some warmth

My wife and I decided at the last minute to book a trip to somewhere warm. So yesterday afternoon we booked a trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Leaving VERY early Monday, December 22 and will return at a more reasonable hour on Friday, December 26. We're both burned out mentally and need this respite.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), there will ve no need for a GPS since we plan to sit at the pool or on the beach all four days and do NOTHING! cool

Now to find someone to take care of the cat!

Warmth Sounds Good

We are getting cold rain today. Although the temperatures dipped into the mid 60's for the past few days, we have been enduring cold, freezing temperatures for the past few weeks. It would be nice to be going some place warm to get away from the cold.
