Happy Happy!

Valentine's Day has come and gone. My girlfriend of 20 year's is still with me. Tomorrow will be our 19th anniversary. Not a milestone, but she still puts up with me and my antics. Gotta love her for that alone. grin

Sounds like a Henny Youngman bit: I took my wife to Dallas for our 15th wedding anniversary. This year I might go get her and bring her back. (yes, I'm too young to remember him, but I still like his humor.) rolleyes

Spare a thought for Victoria in Australia

Australia is a big place so this has happened a long way from where I live.

There are places in Northern Australia who also have a rain problem - 60% of Queensland has flooding - but that is not all that has been going on in Aus.

Please spare a thought for the people in Victoria in southern Australia who have faced (and still face) a serious fire situation. In case you missed it - on 8/9 February one of the most extreme fire events that anyone will ever want to see resulted in more than 200 deaths (and we still do not know the exact number).

Just for a change there are firefighters from the USA helping our people (rather than ours helping them). Great stuff yanks!

See http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/content/2009/20090216_fires/i... for an extremely graphic account of the fires.

I feel for you. I'm not sick, but I get to blow a half day of vacation today waiting for an appliance repairman to come look at our dryer. We just bought it last month so its under warranty at least.

I sure hope you feel better soon, there is are two bad bugs making their way around. seems like a very bad cold (rhino virus) and a very bad case of the flu(Influenza A (H1) virus)are circulating.

Even with a flu shot, it looks like they missed the proper strain, Ohio is entering epidemic stages.

Thanks for the link charlesd45, but I feel I need to warn the people on this board of the dangers of using Internet Explorer. IE is the target of many hackers and companies using ActiveX and other security holes to distribute malware. I only use IE in the rare cases that the page won't display properly (usually a Microsoft page). I heartily recommend that people use Firefox which is great or another browser besides IE.

For more info check out http://www.webdevout.net/ie-is-dangerous or google the info yourself.

Stick with 14

It's a good number and good driver!

A good little promotion!

I hope this doesn't cross any boundries ... if it does I appologise up front.

Just came across a Tropicana OJ bottle that has a promotion on saving the rain forest, I don't know why I read the bottle but I did.

Every time you buy a 64 oz or larger bottle and enter the code on the bottle Tropicana will donate 100 square feet of rain forest. If you do use Tropicana, it may be a little something to help the environment.

I just wanted to pass it on.
