A couple of great deals on GPS units for about $60

There were a couple of great deals today on a 3.5" and a widescreen GPS for around $60.

It's astounding how quickly GPS prices have dropped. I knew I was paying a lot when I got my C320 a few years ago for around $350 or so. But to get a GPS with similar capabilities for around $60 is mind-boggling.

The GPS units are getting so cheap that they may be considered "disposable", meaning that you can upgrade every year to a new model if it suits your fancy!

yep!

Or every other year and skip the map upgrades, that way you can stay with one of the bigger names. It's getting to the point that quarterly updates for maps isn't even attractive anymore.

Before Black Friday, I said there was no reason to pay more than $200.00 for a GPSr no matter who builds it, and with the prices falling it's beginning to hold true on a daily basis.

yeah, now we are talking.

yeah, now we are talking. Electronics is known for huge price drops. Now, if gas can follow the same path maybe we could get out of the economic crisis and be able to use our gps.
