help what is the differences on on GPS Latitude/Longitude coordinates in Degree Minute Second (DMS) format.

Or

GPS Latitude/Longitude coordinates in Degree Decimal (DD) format.

a site has it in both formats don't no what one to down load I have a Garmin 7200

I don't know if any of you have been paying attention to many of the Avatars used here, but I owe mine to two different users.

Rayzers animated it for me and BobDee modified it so it shows "POI-FACTORY." If you are having problems with getting your avatar "just right" I suggest you drop a note to these two.

After a year in Baghdad with the Army, I have now returned. I have also changed duty stations. I left Fort Hood, TX and am now assigned to the Norfolk Naval Station. Imagine that, an Army guy on the Navy base. This will be interesting. I look forward to catching up on all the discussion posts that I have missed for the past year.

I was looking at walmarts website and noticed they no longer have garmin 265wt, also noticed the price of the garmin 265t was $125.54 I thought they were under a hundred before like around $70-$80.

I don't know if this has been discussed before ,but what are the pros and cons of Streets and Trips to Garmin Mobile PC on a net book for a passenger to use,any help?

I am a new user and just starting to look at some POI files, where do I suggest updates to specific POI files?

Thanks to all for responses yesterday about RoadMate Tools software. Magellan tech support today said the 1700 will not allow POI uploads to the unit. Wish I knew that before I bought it! Sorry I won't be able to use all the wonderful stuff from this site. Thanks anyway...

I've just received a response from NAVTEQ regarding a map error report I submitted. Unfortunately the report was from February 2008, but it is nice to know I could help. Recently I sent a map error report to Garmin and received a response in two days.

I just purchased a Magellan RoadMate 1700 7inch screen.It did not come with a software disk and this site says to uae RoadMate Tools to download poi data to the gps. Does anyone know where I can get it?

Any chance of a United Kingdom specific area for POI's that relate to that part of the world please?

I notice that unless the country that the POI relates to isn't specifically included in the file description then its hard to search for (obviously).

Any help or suggestions most welcome from this COW

While I have read the FAQ " How Do I Update A File That Is Already On The Site?", when I contact the kind person who has already established a POI file, what information is required?

Is the address enough or are the GPS coordinates also required ?

I'm sorry if this has already been covered. When I use the "additions and corrections" search term, I get 80 pages of hits...
