Everyone here will tell you that the one they have is the best. You need to list what you really want your gps to do then compare and get the one that fits your need best.

There are units that have lifetime free traffic (which only works where there are FM traffic locations). I do not know of a unit you can purchase that comes with lifetime map updates - although you can certainly purchase lifetime updates separately.

There are some Garmin models sold by retailers like Costco that sell units with both lifetime maps and traffic included.

J&R have plenty of models that come with lifetime maps. Any model that ends with TP is lifetime traffic and lifetime maps.

I bought a Nuvi 265WT, WT means with traffic and it is lifetime. I'm happy with mine, good luck

I have a Nuvi 255WT which has free traffic for lifetime. I think the only difference between the 255WT and 265WT is bluetooth. I am real happy with my 255WT.

Correction: WT means Wide Screen and lifetime Traffic.

There are some units on this Amazon page that include traffic and lifetime maps free after the purchase. Of course, you can buy them cheaper without the lifetime maps.

We have a 265WT and have enjoyed using it. If you search you can find some good deals on this model. There will probably be some good deals at the box stores in the next few weeks for 4th of July sales.

The 265T is the cheaper narrower version of the 265WT - comes with lifetime traffic.
