Driving while programming.

From the WSOCTV website in SC. I wonder why they listed his home address:

[BELMONT, N.C. -- Our newspaper partner, The Gaston Gazette, is reporting that state troopers stopped a distracted driver who blazed through Belmont at 102 mph while a 4-year-old girl slept in the backseat of his sport utility vehicle early Saturday.

Kalum Lionelle Worsham, 26, of 1231 Balthis Drive, Gastonia, was allegedly talking on his cell phone and programming a global positioning system navigation unit as he sped toward mile marker 26 on I-85.]

There is a gene pool that

There is a gene pool that needs to be stopped!!

GGrrr...

...this is another example why I can't be a cop! I would slap that guy for being a moron!

...and what about the people who read news papers on the highway!

My dream car is a armored hummer (like the army uses), then I don't have to watch out for the morons... just wipe their paint off the side of my car when I get home!

Speaking of his home address

I wonder how many of us have entered it in our systems, as an area of high risk and contagion...

Me, I'm on the other side of the Ocean, so I should be safe. But I'll pass the word to the border patrol and the rental agencies, just in case he tries to come hide in MY neck of the woods.

Nightcrawler, where did you say you found your dream car ? I oculd use one over here, I believe Governator had one that ran on hydrogen ?

"No, I ain't polluting !" - sweet, sweet irony grin

And this is why I will not

And this is why I will not acknowledge my cell phone while driving, and why I don't disable the Garmin touchscreen safety (cannot use it while the car is moving).

The Government ..

should recall his father's seeds

Ouch !

What do they then do with it ? Re-inject it where it came from ?

I know, I know, I must learn some manners, and restrain myself - I'd appreciate if someone told me there were exceptions, though. And that guy being one of'em, sure would make my day !

Other charge

They should have added a charge of child endangerment. Maybe some jail time would do the idiot some good.

Diving while stupid

People like this should just be locked up for being stupid.

No can do - won't ever have enough jails....

Imagine the crowd ??? And who would be watching the gates ?

Maybe he was Jack Bauer.

Maybe he was Jack Bauer.

That explains it

I was wondering why "24" was cancelled.

1 more reason

to make using your hands for other things than driving should be illegal. Columbus, Ohio is on the right track.

No Cell Phone for YOU!

I don't have a cell phone. This is one bit of technology that doesn't help me. Expensive rates and monthly fees plus people can get a hold of you at all hours of the day and night. I value privacy and if I was broken down on the HWY I'm sure someone would stop and help me!

Shouldn't this be done after the conviction?

Well around here

adult arrest records are public records, i assume it is the same there.

Education is the key to keep people aware what are the consequences of their actions! People want their rights but don't care about the right of the others!

Gps! ask where to go and get there! Best of all, what we need is to have accurate pois to reach all destinations
