Argentina. Lionel Messi is the best!!

Second maybe, Portugal. Cristiano Ronaldo, what more can you say?

One Thing

One thing for sure it will not disappoint! Love soccer!

USA???

I will certainly cheer on the US team, but I don't expect them to make it to the quarter finals.

My bet is on either Spain or Argentina.

GO PORTUGAL!!

First Round

I watched Mexico vs South Africa today on GalaVision. Good game. My Spanish is very rusty though. The announcers go ooooh with every scoring chance.

World Cup Soccer

I've recently began watching soccer matches and, while I don't know much about the teams or their resepctive players, I truly appreciate the pace of the game. Especially when compared to the slow, drawn-out "action" of baseball and football.

DOH!

DOH!

I'd like to see an African team making it to at least semi-finals. Ivory Coast or South Africa, one of them should be good enough to make it so far. Anyway, so far I'm very satisfied with overall quality. There are no weak teams anymore and every game is pretty much very competitive.

italia rules!!!!

italia rules!!!!

USA

No chance but hopefully we make a respectable showing and make every game a tough game.

Score

The only good thing about soccer is that you never really need to wonder what the score is. It's likely to be zero to zero.

Have you heard about the new cologne for men called Soccer? Wear it and you'll almost score.........

USA -2 Slovenia -2

Ever wonder how USA would do if they played for 90 minutes? (Like last year when we beat Spain 2-0 in the Confederations Cup). Oh well, we still have a chance to advance.

Any more bad calls like the

Any more bad calls like the unallowed goal on Slovvania (SP) and the US is out.

Portugal!!!

Portugal!!!

World Cup

I didn't see all the games, but Germany looked the strongest of the teams I saw in the first round.

But then they didn't play very well in their second game against Ghana and looked anything but dominant.

Well, you can have one weak loss at the right time and still win it all. You just can't have a second.

Personally,

I would rather watch grass grow.

Not doing anything worth a darn.

This is a GPS forum, right ?

So I vote to lease (not give - they're stinking rich enough to pay for the sets) some units to the French team, to help them find their way back here (in France).

On South African turf, they're useless - apart from the job they give to newspapers and other medias. And I dunno if the Bloemfontain field is thoroughly defined by Navteq. Like, show them where their teammates are, and where the South African goalie is located!!!

Ah - but I see Tony prepared soccer-related vehicles on his site http://www.vehiclesforgarminnuvi.com

So there IS some good in this world after all !

Ain't nuthin' never just right to do the things you wanna do when you wanna do them, so you best just go ahead and do them anyway ! (Rancid Crabtree, from Pat F McManus fame)

What a nerve-wracking bunch of matches these have been. The lads finished top of the group despite the FIFA officials attempts to send them home early. Great job!

its so tough watching these

its so tough watching these games go down to the wire i never knew a game could get so exiting with the score 1 -0

Exciting Win

What an exciting game yesterday with the US 91-minute goal. Now on to Ghana on Saturday.

Bracket-Busting

And now both the champions (Italty) and the runner-up (France) from the last World Cup fail to make it out of the opening stage. My bracket is toast, but I don't care.

I have to agree with the earlier poster who called Argentina, Brazil, Germany.

Worlds Reaction to Landon Donovans game winning Goal..

grin For those of you who are still excited about USA's winning goal on June 23,2010, check out
this video.
Enjoy. Hopefully they will be seen again on July 11.
