This week we are recognizing TheProf and Camping Rivopom.

TheProf, is still a file making machine putting out file after file. He has created 47 new project files in his short 14 weeks and 5 days on the site. I think that you can now consider yourself addicted to this new hobby of yours.

We appreciate the enthusiasm that you have in making everyone's POI file dreams come true.

Project idea etiquette....

I am starting this thread because I keep coming across situations where one person talks about a plan for a project idea and then it shows up in the content bin under a different maintainer.

Sometimes I am not really paying attention to what you guys plan in the forums.

After party plans?

Here's a tongue-in-cheek poke at those who don't take warnings about driving while impaired or being in a public place after over indulging at a party.

While it is from the UK, it could very easily be transported to your locale.

Downloading Alert Sounds

Help!

I just subscribed to download the speed and red light camera locations and
custom alert sounds. I know how to download the bmp icons but am having a
problem downloading the custom alert sounds. When I click on them, they just
play but I can't see where to download.

Duh!

Thanks,

Jsturm

Aloha!

I used my TomTom GPS and my HTC Evo GPS on Hawaii. Both worked great. The Evo GPS was amazing though. It had amazing detail, speed, and reception. I was able to get GPS lock 2 levels deep in a concrete parking garage.

I ended up relegating the TomTom GPS to back up duty, while the Evo was my main GPS.

It was fantastic to have such useful tools while traveling in Hawaii!!!

Outback Steakhouse

I was trying to meet my family at an Outback. Much to my surprise there were NO Outback's listed under "All Foods" in the OEM POI listings (Garmin Nuvi 1490T). Did Outback refuse to meet Garmin's listing price?

FDNY auto accident fees

Interesting, & disturbing:

Not sure if this is a done deal or not?

Charlesd45 is always one of the first to the rescue when another member is stuck. He is also one of the first to congratulate someone on a job well done. He is usually one of my top ten posters for the week.

Christmas decorations

Has anyone used their GPS to visit prize winning decorations around your town? I had entered the addresses. We drove all over with the Trip Log on SHOW, so we could see what streets we had covered. We have visited 3 "Festival of Lights" in our region. It was interesting to see our track along the cart paths of the golf courses that hosted the attractions.

Another area 51 to investigate.

We were so successful in the Tampa location that I’m posting a new one for those who enjoyed deciphering the last one.

Let me do a little setup to explain how I came about this new location.

A couple friends of ours cruising on their motor home left the Tampa bay area in late October headed for California and meandering through various states.

Flashing lights to warn others about the police

Has this died out or am I wrong? I rarely see that people (in the metropolitan Seattle area) flash their lights to warn others that the police are around.

Share to let us know whether you do this or something else. This is not limted to only those people in the Seattle area. Thanks. I am curious to see your comments.
