Stolen GPS units end up reinstalled by unwitting dealers
Okay, this is interesting...
Have your in-dash GPS stolen, then reinstalled by a car dealership....

$45 GPS
Heads up. Woot is offering a Motorola GPS for $45. Probably a discontinued item but the price is hard to beat. http://www.woot.com/
For those not familiar with Woot, the company offers one item for sale each day (unless there's a special Woot-Off going on) and it's only available until sold out.
Cheers

REMEMBRANCE DAY VETERANS DAY
The Act Of Remembrance
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.
And may we ever pray
" Lord God of Hosts,
Be with us yet,
Lest we forget,
Lest we forget."
p s Thank a Vet or better yet buy them a coffee, sit down and listen to their story.

Highway Speed Limits
I recently went to Myrtle Beach and we ran into several, unusually slow speed limits, when it did not seem warranted. We figured it was done to generate money for the local police.
Does anyone know of a website that would should the speeds of any particular stretch of highway? My NUVI 350 does not show this info.

Recalculating
I have a Garmin 1450 and I was wondering if instead of changing the recalculating to something cute etc,can it be changed to just recalculate the course with out saying anything like the Magellan GPS do.

Does cold weather hurt a GPS ?????
I have a question for the GPS community. I've got a Garmin 255W and I've recently been told that I shouldn't leave the GPS in the car (even in a case inside the console) because the screen can freeze and break.
I haven't heard this before and I would like to leave the GPS in the car so it is always available, but I don't want any problems either.

Newbie.
Hey all. Just looking at replacing a new GPS that has failed me too many times the past month. Anyhow, I came across this site in my searches. Didn't even know you could customize and add POI files. Good stuff!
