New Award

Just the feeble mind of an old man thinking but this week RT has been an ACTIVE member for 5 years. Quite a few others are also in this category.
I propose that a special badge be awarded to all who have reached 5 years of ACTIVE membership.

Just a simple "5" badge would be nice to show their longevity as supporting members !

Just my thinking !

Question for staff

Jon or Angela,

This may have been asked before, but is there a way to get an email sent saying that a certain thread has been posted to?

This would be nice for we POI maintainers when someone makes a post to our POI discussion file. It is too easy to miss a post.

I know, I know, I have already bookmarked the thread. But, we older folks can't always remember to check it daily. rolleyes

What to do with an old GPS?

I recently bought a Garmin Nuvi 2595. My previous GPS was a Garmin StreetPilot 2610. I've had the StreetPilot for about 10 years but needed an upgrade for the new maps and other modern functions that are now available. What should I do with the old StreetPilot? Seems like a shame to let it sit inside or throw it away. Any ideas?

Introducing GPXClean for Windows!

Before I get long winded, I wish to thank BobKZ and Box Car (or is it 'Sox Car' wink ) for helping me beat up the very early beta versions (like last week!). It's a very small package that doesn't require an install. Just save somewhere where Windows (sorry Mac guys...) can find it and run.

Informal "mp3 player" poll question...

Hi everybody,

I like to conduct an informal poll, asking the question… “would you like to see the MP3 players back in the GPS units? just place an “X” on the appropriate line.

Yes...
No...

Thanks for your time…

New Year and health

One of my goals each year is to find ways to improve my health and fitness.
One year I got into cardio kick-boxing. I've been doing water aerobics for years and then last fall I really got into aerial yoga.
That is serious fun!

What sort of things have you done, or are currently doing to get in to or maintain your physical health?
