Walmart 2595LMT Refurb $124.98

I am considering purchasing the 2595, mostly for the split screen JCV feature.
Some people have mentioned problems with routes. I don't use routes. Is this a good unit, or should I pass?

Stopped by my local Target this evening and found Swissgear GPS cases on 70% markdown on an endcap in the electronics area. Was $12.59, after discount $3.77 for a nice padded case that just fits a Garmin nuvi 1490 or other similar size device.

Refurbished Garmins on Amazon

Often there are refurbished Garmins on Amazon. Those are typically good prices if anyone is in a pinch and need a particular model ASAP. I have purchased a couple and both were in excellent condition with no issues.

I don't know anything about this seller, but I have one of these Garmin Oregons and it is great for hiking and geocaching. This is the lowest price I have seen on this unit since it was introduced.

Edit: just noticed that this seller is from Spain (ships worldwide), so that may be a red flag.

appreciate this thread - it does not hurt to have an inexpensive backup GPS or a spare one for the wife or to loan out to a visiting relative. I'm watching for a decent but inexpensive model at a sharp discount to aid my decision to purchase.

Refurbished Garmin 3590LMT for $249.95

I just recently bought the 3590LMT, refurbished, with lifetime map/traffic updates for $249.95 at http://www.thegpsstore.com/Garmin-Nuvi-3590LMT-Refurbished-5....

Customer service was excellent - they confirmed that the refurbished unit was still eligible for lifetime updates even on a Sunday, and shipping was very fast. They are a brick and mortar store located in NC.

My husband and I are GPS newbies and looking forward to learning how to upload POIs to the unit and also use the Smartphone feature to add other destinations. He's a real estate agent and I'm hoping we can add the day's open houses/showings in CSV format. If anyone knows how to do this I would love to learn how. I have not yet searched the forums for this info.
