Big Brother or smart policing?

Dallas police say their new license plate reader systems are the latter. The department recently joined a growing number of local agencies that use this crime-fighting technology. It’s equipped 14 vehicles with the cameras and deployed 14 fixed readers throughout the city.

3/9/14...Change your clocks - Change Your Batteries...

Sometime this week... Pick up batteries for all your devices you depend upon to monitor your health and/or protect your family's health, safety and well being...and next Saturday before bedtime, change batteries in all your gadgets before you change your clocks...if you happen to live in an area where the clocks don't change, just change your batteries... smoke detectors, CO monitors, etc...

Is it legal to operate a GPS while driving?

In Florida it is now illegal to text while driving. It is also illegal to text someone who you know is driving. I wonder if it is illegal to program a GPS with a destination such as an address. It is similar to texting. You take your eyes off the road to enter data. My Garmin states that I should not program it while driving. I have to agree before it starts up. But is it illegal?

GPS creator Brad Parkinson calls for tougher penalties

"Penalties for jamming GPS networks need to be co-ordinated worldwide as their importance grows, the technology’s chief architect says."

"On top of increasing the penalties for owning and using GPS jammers, Parkinson argues that manufacturers of receivers, particularly in the maritime industry, need to start toughening up their devices."

Extensive FM Traffic Greater Toronto Area

Just wondering if there are other FM traffic sites my TT can use in GTA. I noticed that traffic update in only up to Mississauga if you are heading west.

If there is how do you switch from the default set by TT.

Redlight/Speed Cameras

The entry on the main page saying the last update is from 2/12/2014 is not correct. They have been updated to 2/19/2014 - just look further.

Fred

OOPS. It must have just been updated on the main page. Sorry!
