Baby, it's cold outside!

Here in Mentor, Ohio, it's -17 degrees outside. What's it where you are?

EPE

I tried to use EPE today to update the Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores POI file that I maintain.

Immediately upon loading the file I get a "script" error.

It happens as EPE is trying to display the Google Map in the lower left pane or when doing geocoding on a new POI. I am wondering if Google has changed something that Turbo was relying on in the API

Is anyone else having this problem?

Spped On Green Cameras in Calgary

http://calgaryherald.com/news/traffic/speed-on-green-cameras...

In this article from the Calgary Herald (February 17), the reporter indicates that number of Speed on Green tickets issued continues to increase. This, despite the fact that the camera locations are clearly marked and are listed on the Calgary Police web page.

Snow event

Good time to stay inside and update the Garmin.

Why Garmin?

It's been a few years since I have used my old Nuvi 350.I have been using my Nexus 4. However my wife just purchased a new car and I would like to get her a new GPS.

I am only interested in a large screen with traffic.

Is Garmin still the best choice for these basic needs?

Distracted Driving Device Allows GPS functionality While Driving

http://gpsworld.com/distracted-driving-device-allows-gps-fun...

How many here would consider adding this device to their vehicle?

I suspect it won’t be long before the government requires auto makers to install such a product on all new vehicles.

GPS FOR TRUCKERS

Anyone have any idea what is a good GPS for truckers? I read a thread on this but the last comment made was in 2012. Id hope they have much better GPS units out now for Truck Drivers

More Consequences of Ethanol

I have always believed that the ethanol mandate is a bad thing. Ethanol costs more to produce than gasoline, and consumes more energy than it yields when all inputs are considered. Not to mention the cost of cleaning a fuel system when it has been sitting in your gas tank for more than a couple of weeks during humid weather.

Errrors

Here's an interesting news report. It should be read by those who worry overly much when their GPS makes a mistake—and for those who worry overly much about those who overly much worry about GPS mistakes.
