Navigon (unlocked)
I have had a Navigon 2100 for 6months and recently discovered that I could "Unlock" the unit and add Mio Pocket software to it. Making it a PDA device as well as a GPS. I also found IGO 8 navigation software is much more to my liking then the standard GPS software that came with it.

GPS in my phone - Inconceivable
I just got a new HTC Pro phone and it has a built in GPS and navigation software. The phone actually did a good job, however I will NOT be giving up my Garmin. It may be a quick way to navigate around Universal Studios or Disney, but driving down the highway across country, I think not.

Amcor 4800
My boss was impressed with my Garmin’s ability to load custom Poi. He received an Amcor 4800 for Christmas, and asked me to load the work related files on an SD card for him. Unfortunately, I can’t find any info on this GPS. Does anyone know what file format this brand uses?? Also, does it require any proprietary software to load the files??

Navigon 7100 doesn't automatically announce maneuvers?
I've used Garmin GPSr's for a while but just got a Navigon 7100 (couldn't resist the deal). The UI isn't as user-friendly, but I can live with it. Updated the firmware to 1.2. On first use on a short trip, I was surprised that the unit didn't automatically announce maneuvers at all. One has to tap the next maneuver area on the screen for it to say it. Is this normal?

Navigon Ala Carte Downloads
Lots of new content. Red light cam database is $29.99, thankfully we have POI Factory.
The addition of 2.8 million POI's to their skimpy database for $29.99 is also sure to rile some.

Sony Nav-U
I have tried every trick in the book to determine Sony Nav-U U44 XML file format but to no avail. It would seem to me that converting any CSV file to XML would work but it just won't load. I have tried the VB script loader mentioned in the POI file area here, but to no avail. There must be a developer guru out here someplace that can help convert the CSV files to Sony XML.

Help! mio moov 310 poi's
How di I add POI's to the moov 310, I have tried to add cvs, klm,exl formats to various folders but nothing seems to work. when I plug it into my computer it shows 2 poi folders, one in the root folder and 1 in the navman folder, I have tried both. any help would be appreciated. does anyone know what file format i should 
be using, and where to put them?
