I am new to GPS world and have a Garmin Nuvi 850. I down loaded the red light camera and custom alert. I put these in my document folder. I then uploaded to my GPS. Now when I come up to a camera light the Gps notifies me of the camera light with a single ding. My custom alerts will not sound. I also am using a Mac computer..

I have been using Microsoft's S&T for about 6 years as a trip planning and GPS on my computer in my motorhome. I LOVE IT! But now that I have found the POI's on POI Factory and want to download them to it and I am having troubles. When I import it I only get one pushpin (somewhere in the middle of my map) with all the POI's in that location. Can anyone help me with this?

Looking for a travel PDA to be used with Oziexplorer CE. Oziexplorer CE use calibrated scanned digital maps (moving map). Should have touch screen, wifi, bluetooth, Windows CE or Windows Mobile. A PDA with SirfIII GPS would be the best, but a bluetooth GPS might solve the GPS problem.

MIO was an option, but it seems they are out of business!

I want to replace my Garmin Nuvi 760. Is it good to go for Navigon 7200T. Any suggestion from Navogon 7200T users.

Has more shortcomings than I care to list. The worst is that it will not give directions in certain areas. Any suggestions on how to update or replace the installed
unit?

I came across this review today on the gpsreview site. It has a great chart breaking down the best value for GPS map updates dependent upon the length of time you keep your GPS. Note that the chart is based on MSRP, not the discounted prices sometimes seen.

This is still a good gps, if you don't care about loading CUSTOM poi's. Navigon blocked Poi Warner from working properly with it now.

Anyways, Tiger Direct.ca has it on for 119, Staples Canada will price beat it, but then you have to add the around 11 bucks of shipping. You'll get it for just under 122 bucks taxes in. Which is a pretty good deal in my opinion.

I have a LiteOn L100 GPS unit that I purchased in 2006. The maps are somewhat out of date, and LiteOn sold the software to Nokia and, as far as I can tell, they discontinued manufacturing the unit. I only need to update the following file: north-america_map.cdt.

Does anyone know where I can find a new version of this file to download?

Hi, just wanted to warn everyone, incase they want to buy Poi Warner for their Navigon 2000S or any of the new models that have Mobile Navigator 7 on them.

Does anyone know if it is possible to use alert sounds in Street Atlas. I haven't seen it even talked about in the manual so wondered if any smart people might have added it.

They're discontinuing updates for iPaq 310 owners.

Some consumers paid a lot of money for these units, and now they're SOL.

It makes me wonder about the logic of buying from a company who's main business isn't in PND's such as HP, Asus, Sony, Sanyo, etc.

At least Garmin, Magellan, TomTom, and Navigon have supported their units.
