POI-Warner New Release for Navigon MN7 GPSr's

The POI-Warner is an add-on which complements your MobileNavigator|7 with indispensable features. $26.00USD

Make your new Navigon product the best GPS on the market with only features NAVIGON brings you first, and others buy from Navigon or copy. Not that it already wasn't.
Garmin Move over you have way to many models becoming obsolete in no time flat because of your lagging technology or the need for greed.

As the name suggests, the Point-of-Interest-Warner visually and acoustically warns you of POIs as you approach them. Speed cameras, petrol stations and kindergartens are only some examples for POIs.

Acoustic and visual warning of POIs

Acoustic and visual warnings on approaching any Point-of-Interest (an existing overlay is required)

Visual display of the remaining distance while approaching a monitored POI in navigation view

Direction Relevant Warnings: Only POI relevant to the direction in which you are driving will be displayed and announced

Speed cams will be displayed along with the relevant speed limit on approach

Acoustic representation of the remaining distance before the speed cam is reached via a steadily increasing beeping noise or mp3 (optional.

Check out these options available for POI-files that can be download right here at the POI-Factory, they are simply amazing and keep me using Navigon products over Garmin hands down.

Individual selection of POI types of which you wish to be informed

Adjustable maximum speed for every POI-Type

Adjustment of detection angle possible

Possibility to define two warning phases

How early the warning is to be issued can be adjusted individually for each POI type

Individual sound or vocal alert for each POI-Type when exceeding the speed limit defined by the POI in question

Individual sound or recorded wav file for each POI-Type and each alert stage

Professional alerts recorded in a studio.

POI Recording and Management

POI-Manager to manage POI on the unit

POI-Recorder to record new POI en route

POI can be recorded and edited in map view

Upadate the POI data at the push of a button

Intested

I'm very interested in getting this for my 7100T but don't really want a warning for every POI I put in. Really want it just to increase the number of POI in the unit as that seems to be the only complaint with this unit (the disgusting lack of POIs included).
And what's these "overlays"
How easy is it to bring the POI files from here into the Warner program?
Thanks for any help you can give. I'm sure I'll have more questions

I use POI-Warner strictly

I use POI-Warner strictly for red light and speed cameras.

Works great with MN6.

No need

Thats the unique thing about POI-Warner, it lets you decide what you want to get a audible on and what you don't, the direction it is coming from and much more.
If there is a red light camera on one corner westbound and your traveling eastbound you will not get the warning. and you can run several POI files simultaneously.

I recommend you read the POI-Warner manual for your 7100T.

OK now what

OK got the new POI warner. But still waiting on the confirmation e-mail. So in preparation I download a BUNCH of files from here. But now seems they have to be in .asc format. What is the difference in the file types and is there some thing that can do the conversion?
Thanks in advance for any help.

The search function works very well on these forums, by using it you would have to wait for an answer that has already been given.
