Other GPS brands

Thanks to anyone who can help me determine if I should go ahead and get a unit. I already have a Garmin 200W, and was thinking of upgrading to a 7x5 unit soon, but the cool factor of the Knight Rider unit is almost more than I can stand...Thanks!

I'd read the first impressions before purchasing this unit....it wasn't very good. Also the monthly charges after the free trial period add another fixed cost.

Looks like Dash was correct in getting out of the hardware biz.

Can't go wrong, another toy for Christmas..

Has it ever occured to you buying a certain something that you thought was THE top-of-the-line product and spent your money proudly only to find out later that if you ahd waited for a couple days you could have gotten a much better product with better features, etc. (so much for that deal) It happend to me with mp3 players among other things.

Does anybody have any knowledge of this company? Their units are powered by ALK’s award-winning CoPilot Live satellite navigation software. I have used CoPilot Live 11 on my laptop.

Navigon doesn't officially offer a map for Australia but I was wondering if anyone knew of a third party vendor (i.e. POI factory) that offered Australia as an option. Thanks!

I am a serious GPS newbie, but I have the latest Navigon 7100 maps & Poi (Europe)on disc, and would like to load this content onto an SD card for use in my 2100. But I have had no luck....so far. Can someone assist me on how I might do this? Like I said I am a newbie, so basic lingo & instruction would help. Thanks for your consideration.

These are so cheap I was thinking of buying my wife who refuses to use a GPS one in hopes she may start using it.

These were originally sold for $299.

\strange but i have try to contact navigon as to weather they except third party poi i have sent 2 emails over the last week and neither has been replied too so it makes you wonder if they are still in business.

Was wondering does anyone know the format for entering speedcamera data into the iGO8 version of software, been searching but not found anything as yet.

As I understand speedcamera's are different to regular POI's which use the KML format.

What reviews are there on this unit? I think it has 2006 maps in it now,,,what is the update for these like in cost? Is this unit a respected GPS? Is the satellite acquisition speed? Thanks, sv

I have a Navman F20 which has the US/Canada POIs as well as the usual roads, etc on an SD card. When I took it to England two years ago I bought a UK SD card and it worked fine. My questions is:

Is it possible to load POI files from this website to my Navman?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
