Truck and RV GPS Unit

StreetPilot 7200

If it were me and I wanted something big for a truck or RV, I would look at a Garmin StreetPilot 7200 http://www.tigergps.com/refurb7200.html?productid=refurb7200...

Woot had these recently at a blow out price $249.99

WorldNav GPS

The 7200 doesn't replace the Teletype WorldNav units because the Teletype units have all the truck info built in.

They haven't gotten very good reviews at Amazon.com though. Check out the reviews there.

Sometimes reviews aren't what you think

TeleType WorldNav 7200 Truck Routing GPS Receiver

I myself give this 4 out of 5 stars, does a nice job pointing out the dangers and Hazmat routing for the trucking industry.

I agree for the trucking industry the WorldNav units are one of the only games in town. Unfortunately a lot of truckers would like something better.

Have you actually used the TeleType unit? The people that have been reviewing them have.

Evryone wants what they don't have

Like I said, I give reviews on units that I have used, I Buy & sell Used GPS's so i get to use a lot of them.

Since you don't read all the posts, you post about I will lead you to mine about these units.

Everyone likes something they don't have or know nothing about, then Biotch once they get one.

Doesn't Matter

Doesn't matter....if you look at reviews on many of the trucking sites and from users at Amazon.com, they don't fare very well.

But on the other hand, I haven't seen good reviews in general on any of the trucking GPSr's.

Doesn't Matter?? Of course it does. It matters Greatly

OK THEN!
I gave a hands on, You gave hearsay!

There is a reason why a court doesn't accept Hearsay Evidence. Why Not you ask? because hearsay is distorted and not very accurate.
Reviews are often given by Newbie's and very inexperienced with the GPS industry and the products they make, their units get returned by them because, either they don't understand and are confused, they don't read the instructions or the technology is plainly over their head, then they leave a very poor review due to their own ignorance.

Of course not all unit's are reviewd by Newbi's,

Those units often end up as refurbished goods and become great buys for all. And since there was really nothing wrong with them in the first place, they end up getting a second even more complete inspection by the manufacture, and since they can't sell them as new they become a bargain as a refurbished or re-manufactured item.

So where do we actually stand?

You can collect hearsay and lead people astray, or you can Come to a community such as the POI-Factory, evaluate the member and get a feel for the person's experience, then either ask the Person straight up what they think, or read what he or she posts on their own about the GPS being used.

You can get a handle here on Newbi rather quickly here, at a review sight you are blind to that fact.

So I say IT MATTERS greatly.

Ignore

Ok...they can trust what one person says, or they can trust what a lot of people and professional reviewers say.

I'll go with the majority.

I can talk from experience

Whatever floats your boat dude.

My experience rules over your review searches!

Whatever....

Your experience doesn't over rule experiences from many owners.

You can have the crappiest product and some people will post good reviews on it. These owners that review these units are talking from experience too. What makes you think your opinions are better than theirs?
