Does anyone know if the windshield mounts for the Nuvi 360 and 660 are the same?
I ordered one of the 660's from Best Buy today and I am giving my 360 to my friend for Christmas. He is an over the road trucker and really needs a unit.
The reason I ask, is I bought an extra windshield mount for my 360, and if it will work on the 660, I will keep it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I read somewhere today, on this forum (I can't find the post now), that buyers should be considering ethical behaviour before taking back their previous purchases, and upgrading to something else.
I'm bothered by this.
35 days ago I purchased my GPSr, but now I see it, on the same site, for $120 less.
What is my ethical duty?

Anyone else having issues with getting the tracks to upload to mapsource from their 750. I keep getting a communications error.

I have a Nuvi 650 that I use (mostly) in my Altima. Sticks to the windshield, never any problem. However, reading all the posts concerning theft, I’m thinking that maybe I could mount the thing in a compartment on my dash. The car already has a handy place for it, I think that’s where they put the OEM GPS unit. (Pictures open in a new window.)

I'm new. I can't get the hang of Recently Found and Favo(u)rites (I'm Canadian, eh?)
I can clear all entries in Recently found, but I'm looking for a way to add selected ones to my Favorites, and dump the rest.
What am I missing?

There's a relatively "new" road I travel every day. It's been there for ~3 years now. It was basically made by making a 4-lane through a few fields, that connected to a couple curvy 2-lane roads.

It cuts 10 minutes and a couple miles off the old way of travel (using the two curvy 2-lane roads).

Has anyone used their Nuvi with Bluetooth to send text messages?

Been a relatively happy owner of a Nuvi 660, minus a few significant incidents.

Nuvi once suggested that the fastest, shortest route to a destination was a long abandoned mountain road in the middle of nowhere, causing me to almost be stranded in the middle of the wilderness instead of taking a fast, commonly used freeway that would have been just a few extra miles.

Garmin has release3d new mapping software. I have two C340s. Does anyone know if I can load this software on both, or will it self destruct after the first?

There is new firmware for the Nuvi 600 series GPS. It is dated Oct 31, 2007 and is version 4.2. I downloaded it last night and my NUVI 660 seems to geta fix faster and maps update faster.

Suggest anyone with a NUVI 6XX go to Garmina nd download the update.

Anyone notice that none of the nüvi 2xx units are listed on Garmin's software download page?

I take the newly opened I-355 tollroad extension in the Chicago area. A beautiful 6 lane new highway, great shortcut. Of course, Garmin has not updated maps yet, so I love watching my little blue car take to the air and fly over farms and the Illinois river, very "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" like. Didn't know the little car had it in her, LOL.

I just delivered flyers for Walmart in Grand Rapids MI that advertised a C330 for $128 during the after Thanksgiving sale. I wonder how many of these things they actually have. I wonder if any local Garmin fans would want to fight the crowds to see if they get one. It certainly would be a good price. I paid $249 for mine on sale.

I have subscribed, on Garmin's website, to receive an e-mailed notification when the software is updated.
So far, there have already been s/w updates for my 350 & 660 - never got any alert!
And no, it's not about firewalls, spam filters, etc; always Garmin's (other) e-mails got through...
So, what's the catch?

Picked up a c330 on Friday from Walmart and it has what appears to be c340 firmware on it. Tried to update with webupdate and it says there are no new updates.

Anyone else come across this?

May end up taking this back if the local BestBuy has the nuvi200 on BF...otherwise, will go back for the $50 price difference at Walmart.

Ok, how do some of you get the two dots over the u in "Nuvi"?

My parents are interested in getting a GPS and want to know the difference between the StreetPilot and nüvi.

Is the StreetPilot being phased out and replaced by the nuvi?

The models seem to overlap in features. Is there a key difference that I'm missing?

Bought Garmin's SP330c 16 months ago. Warrantied for 1 year. Worked great. Ordered 2008 update ($75 with shipping), then the SP 330c quit on me. Goes on only when on external power, but will not acquire satellites. Does not charge under any method (usb or 12v.) Canceled the 2008 update immediately.
