POI Sound Problem

I have a Garmin Nuvi 2360, software version 3.60, GPS Firmware 2.70.
Using POILoader 2.7.1.0, and SOX 14.0.1
I'm simulating my testing several POIs by setting 'location 1' and 'location 2' about 0.2 mi either side of the POI I want to test.
OK, when I test my 'My_Home' bmp, csv and wav and simulate a drive by it work fine.
Now when I do the same thing with for example,a Dodge Dealer POI I downloaded from here, and have a correct name matching bmp, csv and wav it fails. And yes I did set new 'locations 1 & 2' just before and after the one selected POI, simulated a drive by the POI. I see the POI bmp at the corrrect csv location, but no playing of the wav file. And yes, the Dodge wave file does play on my computer.
Any ideas? Should I try a csv file with only one Dealer?

Did you set an alert for the Dodge POIs?
Are the POI locations within 50 feet of the road?
How far off road?
Look at the Dodge dealer on EPE and see how far off the road it is located.

Sometimes the POI point is set back from the road as MM stated.
If your intent is to get an alert each time you come near a Dodge Dealer try adding TourGuide to the file names then load file in manual mode set alert distance in feet, roughly 5000 feet per mile.
Don't know why you would even want to alert on dealers when you could look them up if need be.

I don't know what you mean by setting an 'alert'?
As for the POI locations, I chose the 'Express' location set up option in the POI Loader.
BTW, I have tried with only one csv (multiple dodge dealers) and the bmp and wav. No folders, no other POIs. But it did woork with My Home!

Regular Custom POIs do not alert by default.
You must SET an alert (by using Manual Mode or by data in in the file) if you want to be alerted (ie "play the sound").
Select manual mode on
Select manual mode on poiloade .S et alert distance for the files you want the alerts for.

You hit the nail on the head! Manual Mode worked, but what a pain in the neck to have to enter distances for all my POI groups!
I had to keep incresing the distance from 500' and eventually had to go to 1320' for success. And yes some of the POIs are a bit off the road.
So what general rule of thumb are most of you using for POI distances??? 1/4 mile is huge...
