Garmin Fenix: Is this the product you've been waiting for?
http://www.gpscity.com/garmin-fenix.html
Will this one be on your Christmas list?
Nope
I'd rather have a Garmin GLO or BadElf GPS Pro as a stocking stuffer from Santa.

After reading what it will and won't do for its $400 price tag, I think I will pass.

Not worth the price. I'll pass.
...
Nah, I'll stick to my GPSr.

I see no real use for it
I see no real use for it here for me. I will have to pass on this one here as well.

NO and NO.
Garmin Foretrex 101
I have used a wrist GPS for geocaching for the last few years. The old Foretrex 101 may not be as fancy as the newest models, but it works great, and only cost $65 when it was on sale.
So, no thanks. I'll keep using what I have.
For Techno Geeks
Looks like a "gadget" to me. Doesn't appeal to me. But I guess those Techno Geeks who have to have the latest and greatest may find it interesting.
OK.....so where the heck am I?
I don't think so...
I would not wear a geekie looking watch like that in the first place, in the second, too much screwing around with it!
"Backward, turn backward, oh time in your flight, make me a child again, just for tonight."
Looked at the specs.
There were more no's than yeses, I can't see any use for it, the amount of times I wear a watch I would be happy to get a cheap $10 job.
hasn't got maps, can't load maps, no turn by turn navigation, it will geocache but so will my little yellow extrex H at under half the price.
Nope not for me
Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present...
Not for me either.
It may interest those who do Geo-caching, maybe.
$400 is too much money. I don't think this one will be a big seller for Garmin.
Tight lines
looks expensive
At least to one that would not want wan.

400 dollars? No thanks, not
400 dollars? No thanks, not on my list. I'll stick with my smart phone. I was downtown in Chicago last year for a concert, got totally confused after getting off the el, so fired up Google Maps and it navigated me to my destination. And with MyTracks, you can track everywhere you've gone, which I think is akin to geocaching.
I Wouldn't Be Surprised If There Were...
...enough customers that "need" $400 worth of geeky bling to make it a success, but that won't include me.
The crux of the biscuit is the apostrophe(')
Fenix gets UnGarmin like extensive New Beta update
Garmin just released a beta update for the Fenix with new features that surprised the hell out of me! They basically gave all the fitness functionality including foot pod less indoor run tracking, the ability to create intervals and to download custom workouts from Garmin Connect. Last but not least an improved ski profile. And added smart watch functionality using Bluetooth 4.0 such as displaying text messages and incoming call info for iPhone users.
Those of us with longtime experience with Garmin are amazed at what they are giving away rather than adding to a new device expecting us to upgrade, especially in a device so long in the tooth for Garmin. I hope this attitude spreads to their other product lines!
It Is Actually Quite Good
I treated myself to one last year. It is quite remarkable. Great for hiking and biking. It is not a full fledged mapping device, such as a NUVI, GPSMAP60, Montana, Oregon, etc. Once you adjust expectations to that reality, it grows on you. I did find a way to put maps on it. Very nice. Great for data recording, such as heart rate monitoring, temperature, etc. And it has great connectivity, especially with the recently announced Apple Smart Notifications. Battery life is great.
When you are dead, you don’t know that you are dead. It is only difficult for the others. It is the same when you are stupid.
Doesn't fit my niche!

Thanks, but no.
Not for $400. I can see how it could be useful, but that's way too much to spend.
still waiting
Nope. I'm still waiting.
Lower the Price...
Once it starts selling for $19.95, then I'll think about buying one.
Nuvi1300WTGPS
I'm not really lost.... just temporarily misplaced!
