Problems with Mini USB charger

For the past one month I struggled to solve the problem of my Garmin GPS 750 going in to data mode ( Computer icon popping up) when ever I used to connect the mini USB charging unit---whether I connect to the Laptop OR in the car.
The solution is simple.
1. Connect the GPS to the charger---let the Computer Icon pop up.
2. Now disconnect the charger from the GPS.
3. The GPS screen will show a white band and a green color line inside it loading.
4. After the green line is fully loaded, then Loading maps will come on the screen--NOW YOU RECONNECT THE CHARGER.
5. Garmin will boot properly with the Audio/voice.----Battery will also charge.

This is not a problem with the USB charger at all. It's the way the GPS sees it, and the way Garmin has it's pins configured.
BTW, this is an old fix, known for a couple of years.
