Okay, who uses it? I bought one and am confident that it works, but I am not SURE.

According to the instruction manual when I attach it to my Zumo 550 see an "XM" selection that I touch to subscribe. I will then be presented with a display stating my unit XM ID Number and info about how to subscribe.

When I have my GXM 30 connected I do not see any indication of anything "XM".

Doing some research ran across this information on Garmin Support.May come in handy as a avoidance to set up on gps for various reasons.Or just to locate a certain bridge coordinates.

How do I find a bridge with my automotive device?

Hey everyone

I'm trying to find the device ID with G7towin for my Nuvi 1490 to start with a recovery, whenever I've tried it it says file specified not found or connection timed out. I need the device ID to get started with Garmincure.

Any ideas? Other programs that may work, or other methods?

Some time ago, I downloaded the rest areas for AZ, CA, and NV. These are the areas that concern me for now. I was going to update them but I noticed that those certain ones were last updated in 2006 or 2007. There was an update to the 'combined areas' last December. So I'm thinking that my states have not built a new rest area since that time.

I loaded all POIs on my mini sd card. Removed the file except the current.gpx in the GPX folder and deleted the existing POIs from the GPS. When I insert the card in my 2557 it asked me if I wanted to move the POIs to the internel memory I clicked on no. Now when I check for the POIs in the device it can not find them. What am I doing wrong?

First, let me confess that I ask this without having done any research into the question.

Does anyone know how to check and/or change the proximity alert distance in POI Loader? I need detail steps. Thanks!

sorry to bother you guys from the states but it seems nobody, even garmin support knows how to fix my problem.
after a botched update of my 3590 with that marvelous program called garmin express i can non longer see weather. if i click on the blue wether radar icon nothing displays.

I've used Garmin for years as most have. Overall, their products have served me well. But, updating the maps is such an incredible PITA for me, not to mention a waste of alot of time. Garmin Express has never worked well for me. I basically consider it Crapware. So, my question goes to those who have experience with Magellan and Tom-Tom, especially downloading and installing their map updates.

Hey everyone, I'm looking to replace my 5 year old Garmin with something a little newer and saw some good reviews for the 2597LMT however it's 2 years old so I'm hesitant to buy it. Anyone know for sure what the 2014 or the 2015 updated versions are?

I have done a lot of looking and am considering the 2460LMT refurbished unit. I like the powered mount and 5 inch screen.

Walmart has it being fulfilled by Isave for $179.99 and 1 year warranty.

On a short trip to Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa. I was able to see how two features worked on my Garmin Nuvi 2597. I was notified verbally that along my route was a traffic problem. Plus the pop up with info on the right side of the main screen. During the navagation apparently the traffic cleared up and I was again verbally notified the traffic along the route was cleared.

My 1350LMT seems to be totally toasted. I know that any nüvi I choose to replace it will have the basic features I need, so there's only one "extra" I really want to find and there's a lot of conflicting info about it. I've been going in circles for hours trying to sort this out...

I currently have a nuvi 680 and love it dearly. It has worked faithfully from the day I purchased, refurbished, many moons ago. I purchased and use the lifetime maps and a traffic receiver for it. The only issue I am having is the bluetooth with my iPhone 4s.

Got message i haven't seen before on Nuvi 2797. Said device cannot be charged with this cable try using cable that came with the unit. Did that also tried both ports ( indoor and car) only one that worked seems to be one that plugs into round power port in truck. tried several cables. any ideas

Michelle only tells me to turn left or right. No more street names. I checked the owners manual but can't find what is wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

My Nuvi 2555 isn't providing voice directions when I set a destination. The voice does work for camera and speed trap alerts. My guess is that I accidentally changed a setting somewhere, but I can't figure it out.

As posted above, do people here think that FM Broadcast And NOAA Weather Radio would be good features on Garmin automobile GPS units? I picked up a Garmin Monterra a week ago. Granted, it is a trail GPS, but it has both of those features. I know some people do use their automobile GPS units out of their vehicle and it might to handy to have that capability built in.
