I just saw the Black Friday ad for Best Buy, and they will be offering the Nuvi 660 for $399.99, with no rebates involved.
They will start handing out tickets at 3 AM and they will open at 5 AM.

The StreetPilot i3 does not support the use of custom sound files for POI files.

The default is used for every alert and can be easily overlooked.

So is a way to select a different (aka: built in) alert sound for a POI file?

I just bought another Nuvi 360 and it had software version 4.2. The 2 months old 360 that I had, had software version 3.9. I checked on the Garmin website and the latest software version is 3.9. What is going on here?

I'm new to my unit so my question might be obvious:

When I've installed several POI sets to my device, how can I see the most proximate one/ search them *from a particular set*?

I was graciously sent a free copy of the above by Garmin support. I requested a way to backup my Favorites which the program does quite simply. I have a SP c340. Can I edit the data and send it back to my GPSr? Can I add waypoints and send them to the unit?

Like an idiot I mistakenly deleted the gmapprom.img file from my 200W. Garmin is sending me the file on a disk thru the mail in 10 days. Is there another way to get this file to copy/paste it in the unit?

Has anyone had a power cord failure. My cord just stopped working and the cigarette plug end started to get very hot. I checked the fuse and it is still good but no power is coming to the cradle end.

I AM A MEATHEAD. I INSTALLED THE POI LOADER AND SPENT HOURS LOOKING FOR THE NEW POI'S.

I have Delorme map software and can pull up coordinates for locations. When I trid to make a poi it was 19 miles off. New to all this tried searching found confusing stuff. I'm sure its something simple any help thanks in advance.

I have the lastest POI software along with my Garmin 680. Has anyone had this problem?

Does anyone know how or where to get different voices for the Nuvi?

I just purchased a nuvi 660 and would like to know if I have to load Audible Books and MP3 files through a direct connection between the Nuvi and the computer or can I just load the files on the SD card directly from the computer?

I need help with the gStart function. I have a Nuvi 660 and downloaded the red light cameras last spring, but I have never been able to use the gStart feature from my desktop. I have searched the Garmin site without any luck. I always get a warning that there is NO GPS connected to the desktop. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks

When I add new POI's using Loader V 2.4.20, the software congratulates me on loading xxxx poi's succsesfully.

When I look on my Nuvi they are nowhere to be found.

What am I missing here??

ALERT: Circuit City will seems to "filter" the less than positive comments left about the new 7xx series Garmin. Beware. Amazon on the other hand does post the less than positive comments.

In order to create a POI of a ABC restaurant,

step
1. Dirve my car to ABC restaurant, then save the location to my Favorites on my GPS

2. export my favorities to excel in CSV format to get
coordinates.

3. then correct information of ABC rest. on excel

4. then use POI loader load back to GPS

are these correct step to create my own POI

Could someone teach me,

I just ordered another C340 they are on sale at Walmart.com for $234.00! I can't believe how cheap they are getting. I also ordered the dash mount on there for 29.00 each.

I have Sony Errs. P900 and a Garmin Street P C550
It's hard for me to connect two of them. Both devices can detect each other, however, when i try to make a phone call, it changes to "Disconnect".

Is there anyway i can correct it?

Hi everyone, I am new to GPS POI. I jsut bought Garmin StreetP C550 yesterday. I just want to ask can I setup my own POI and use POI loader upload to my GPS?

For example,

I want to creat a POI list of restaurants which i often go. I know the function "Favorites" can do that too, but it can't be organized by catolog.

Is there anyway, that i can create my owe POI?
