I've had a GPS-12 since 1999, and a GPS-V since 2001. Both units show Lat/Lot, and compass course in actual degrees.

The 660 is great for driving, but doesn't show this basic information. How are you all capturing the Lat/Lon for your POIs?

Thanks. Was hoping for a more integrated readout like the GPS-V or the 12. I guess its the difference of the intended application. This unit is not really meant for geocaching application.

I perfer touching the antenna bars and see the direction I am heading, the lat and long, and altitude all on one screen.

You can use it for geocacheing just fine. You can enter coordinates as a destination. If you want to get coordinates from anywhere on the map, other than your location, do this...

Antenna closed, put unit in simulation mode. Go to the 2D map and zoom in/out and/or pan to where you want the coordinates. Touch the location to move the cursor there and hit "set loc" at the bottom of the screen. Now you will "be" at the displaced location. Go to "where to" and scroll down one page and hit "coordinates" and it will display the lat/long of the present cursor position.
