card directories
nuvi650 - 4GB SDHC Card
What is the best way to add files to the SD Card for MP3s and custom POIs in order to fully maximize the card's capacity.
What is the best directory structure?
ex: all mp3's in 1 directory - or sub-directories etc
ex: all POIs in 1 directory or sub-directories as well

Nuvi350 Internal Storage Capacity
Recently acquired a Nuvi350 for Xmas and initially have (2) questions.
#1. Can you download POI files, then put them on a SD disk and insert into your GPS for use without actually installing? If so, will they show up on tour favorites menu?
#2. What is the internal storage capacity of the Nuvi350 for POI's etc?

poi loading error
I get an error when using the poi loader to load custom poi into my Nuvi 350. The error says that there is a problem with (for example) line 217, which is the first blank line after the list ends. It also says any data after this point will not be loaded. It does not seem to effect anything. I still have the pois loaded and they all work, since all the points are before the 'bad point'.

Nuvi 760 inaccurate 300 to 500 ft
I just got my 760 and found it to be off by as much as 4 or 5 house addresses and up to 500 feet. I called Garmin and they told me that the grid might be off in my area. It if frustrating when you put an address in and drive to it and you know you go past it becasue the grid is off. Has anyone else had this problem or know a solution?

Using my Nuvi 650 to navigate to favorite fishing spots
I just received a Garmin 650 and would like to know if there is a way to "record" favorite fishing spots and then create custom POI's using Mapsource.

Restricted area
Friends of ours were in Chicago yesterday and their Garmin 330 told them "Restricted area". I have traveled over 5k miles with our 7200 and it has never said "Restricted area". Anybody know what it means.

Need Panera Bread Sound File
Does anyone have the ability to record and upload a decent Panera Bread sound file? I lack the resources to do it and would appreciate anyones generosity to create a nice sound file who has the capability and the time. Thank you.

Splash Screens
In one of the other discussions Miss POI mentioned the possibility of new downloads such as vehicles and splash screens (I look forward to that).
Anyway, I use several different splash screen, some functional, some cosmetic.
I have screens with my signature, my initials, my initials using naval signal flags, one of the American flag. I change them as the mood strikes.

Garmin C550 Screen Flash
Just got a new Garmin c550 and love it, but the screen would flash real quick every so often. Returned the first one and exchanged it for another and this c550 does it also.
Does anyone know is this normal maybe due to recalculating your location, etc.
Any thoughts?

FM Transmitter - Nuvi 660
So, is there any magic to getting a clear signal between the FM Transmitter and the car stereo. I've tried using auto tune and, it seems that no matter what station I end up picking, there is intermittent crackling or hissing in the background. I try to use the nuvi 660 as a speaker for my cell phone and an mp3 player pulling off of an SD card.

POIs
I am new to this as I just got my Garmin 760 on Christmas Eve.
Please bear with me. If I download a POI download from here and save it to a POI sub-folder in my Garmin folder, how do I download it to my GPS?
Also, if I want to add my own, how to I creat them? What info do I need to have and what format? I am a novice on the computer, but willing to learn.
Thanks!!

Marking a location and later converting to a POI ?
I'm slowly getting the hang of things with my Nuvi 200, I have most features working. I would like to note some speed zones as I drive through them in the next few days , note the location on the Nuvi , and then somehow turn the location into a custom POI with audio alert. Anyone have any tips on how to do this ?

Firmware update for POI Garmin
I need you all to weigh in on this....
We need to lobby Garmin for a firmware upgrade (not a new series Nuvi 800) that will allow users to select which POI (custom and/or built) to be displayed on the navigation screen.
For the kind of money we pay, it would be nice to see if a particular poi is on a route. Instead of a useless splash screen displaying the name of POIs.
eg. gas station

08 Map Updates... My Opionion, Not for the short attn. spanned!
Alright guys.. don't read this if you don't want to. It's just an opionion . ... and feel free to fire back at me.
What's the best way to get rid of a mass produced, discontinued, un-updated information having electronics device? Why...Ship it out to a huge nation wide retail store and let them have a big after Thanksgiving Day "Christmas sale,"... of course!

CSV Error Messages
I have filled the Quest2 memory with custom POIs so to create more memory I have gone thru each .csv file and edited out entries, line by line, so that I am left with only those POIs in the region where I travel, the western U.S. There are gaps in the excel files where I have deleted line I don't need but this seems to be no problem.
