I've been looking all over to find out how can you find the estimated time of arrival for your next waypoint?

Is there anyway to add the MP3 player to a 1490t? I purchased a 1490t and my friend has a 765T and the Mp3 player is a nice feature so I was wondering if it was something that can be done.

Just purchased a 1490T that comes preloaded with all the us maps. I am traveling to the middle east and purchased an middle east SD card.

1) Is it just plug n play, meaning I just push in the SD card and the middle east maps and sattelite will find the middle east automatically or do I have to do anything.

Just got the 1490lmt yesterday? but can not find POI folder in the device built in flash drive. I doubt whether it support custom POI? can I put the Custom POI in MicroSD card instead of device flash drive?

OK now that I have one question answered and I sent a note for technical assistance from Garmin (still unanswered)I have a question for those super-techies out there:

What is the best bit rate to use when playing music from the Nuv1 360 through the external speaker plug?

I can rip the music from my CDs at virtually any rate and space is NOT an issue!

Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone could tell me if my old Nuvi 755 is working properly. I recently updated maps and software.. later that night, I headed out to run an errand... took the nuvi with me and just had the " map " displayed.. No destination, just the map that followed me as I drove thru town.

I have a Nuvi 205 that is getting an Access Denied error when I try and download the newest firmware. I went on the website and my Nuvi is registered so that's not the issue. I'm also using Windows 7 and am running the updater as an administrator. I've checked off the tickmarks as run as administrator and still no luck.

When sending a map/route off of Map quest to your GPS where is it sent to on your GPS? i sent it to my SD card and in my GPS but don't see it anywhere.

I am trying to update the maps on my daughter in law's nuvi 200.

I could not download the updated map to the nuvi, because it does not have enough space. I did download the new maps, and mapsource and mapinstall are now on her pc.

But I still can't install the new maps on the nuvi, using mapinstall, because of the old maps still on the nuvi. I have just added a 2 GB SD card.

This is odd to my new Garmin and I am sure it is not Garmin but the company that supplies Garmin the maps. Instead of identifying roads, streets, and highways with the commonly used namee for them, the Garmin identifies them with the "honorary" names given to them in acknowledgment of some special person.

FWIW, according to a business news report today the total GPS sales for 2010 were down 9%. Went on to say more people are using their phone for directions.

I have a Garmin 60csx now and will be getting a 1490lmt for Christmas. Will I be able to use the same Mapsource program to upload info. to either unit?

Finally broke down and bought lifeime maps for Garmin. Now I really have to make sure I don't lose this unit. I wish it was my lifetime and not the unit's.

We are going to take a long trip on Xmas. There is three different routes to take. Three routes/highways are very close. How to plan certain route I wanted?

I have a Nuvi 760 containing the latest software updates and maps 2011.3, when I either drive or simulate traveling over a particular section of freeway it either locksup during normal travel or shuts down during a simulation run.

The roadway I am having an issue with is where I-275 northbound in Farmington Hills, MI ramps on to 696 eastbound in Farmington Hills.

Someone broke into my car last night and stole my 755T and about $10 in quarters (for parking meters). Of course I have it password-protected, so I guess I'll keep an eye out for someone pulling up in front of my house to get it to work.

Anyway, the issue is what to buy as a replacement. Requirements:

- 4.3 or larger
- Lifetime maps and traffic
- TTS
- Lane-assist
