Our new 2689LMT Garmin, suddenly, when we use it on the way up our 1.5 lane mountain roads, where we just moved, and the garmin displays no roads...

Only having background with a Nuvi 660, I tried to find the setting where I could add more detail... no such setting on the 2689.....

Hi. I'll start with the same three magic words often found at the beginning of a post like this: I just got (lol) a Nuvi2555LMT. I've charged it up, disconnected it from my computer, turned it on, put it in my backpack, get on my motorcycle, ride about 1-1.5hrs to my destination, then I find it looks like it's turned off.

My red Light Camera poi activated. cause was at intersection with red light camera. But now will not go away..... How do I make it disappear?

This may be an iOS 9 problem or perhaps something with 2598 software but just tried pairing the devices today, first time since iOS upgrade. iPhone came back with a message that the 2598 was not a compatible device! Super bummed about this. Anyone with a similar experience?

Garmin has updated Smartphone Link app for IOS to version 1.8.3.2 today to fix the IOS 9 compatibility issues.

Hi Guys, I'm a just a freshman on the subject of POI files.
Thing is I'm in Kazachstan and they my company want me to guide vehicles safely through the dessert.

This means that i'm given a load of waypoint which are not waypoints in the way you can use for the desired track, no it are "anomalies" keep away points.

I love this site and plan to add some POIs.

I just purchased a Nuvi 2557 and I don't know how to upload the file to my Nuvi. Any help is appreciated.

Also, what is the best format to add POIs? Lat/long for cameras for instance or intersection?

I just bought a new type of suction cup for my Beltronics GPS enabled RADAR detector called StickyCup, it's an Escort/Beltronics product. Much better than any windshield mount I've ever come across, really holds well, almost like glue. It has a washable sticky type surface.

This is a removable mount, not permanent.

I have been using POI's from POI Factory for years on lots of different Garmin models.I just upgraded to a NuviCam and havr an issue with a POI getting stuck and never clearing the alert. It is a RLC near work and has never been an issue before. I tried factory reset and reload... no help.

Anyone else seeing this?

I'm stopped at a stoplight about 8 blocks north of where I live when my GPS position jumps 0.20 miles almost due West. This position offset persisted the full 20mi to work. I'll see what happens when I go home.

Since many forum members desire a Powered Cradle Mount I’m in the process of creating a FAQ that will identify those models.
It’s somewhat of a difficult chore since Garmin doesn’t usually list it in their specs and must rely on forum members input.

Has anyone ever had a camera symbol appear in the upper
right hand corner where the bars for the battery strength
should appear. It was there when connected to my truck when
running and when running it on the nuvi battery alone.
It disappeared after I sat down here to see if any one
else had this ever happen. I turn it off and on about 3
times and suddenly it was back to normal operations.

My 2595lmt was acting up and after talking to Garmin we figured out the plug in the back has gotten loose or is not connecting correctly. Would like to hear any recommendations on the newer models that people are using now. I know there are probably better features. Thanks for your help, Jerry

I am just wondering if anybody here is using a Garmin Monterra as an automobile navigator? I know that there are vehicle mounts for this, but the price has kept me from doing this.

Yesterday the new 2016 Can Am Spyder lineup was announced. The models that are factory equipped with a GPS went back to the Zumo 660LM. This is after they had switched from the Zumo 660LM to Zumo 590LM for the 2015 model year. The question was asked why this was.

New to POI-F. Old to building prototype electronics. I can't seem to find a USB cable where I can hack off an end and use the molded male end w/cable so I can embed pins X to 5 resistor. Seems like manufacturers are in denial about Pin 4/X. I've built 2 of these cables for my off-road vehicles. Now, I can't find new ones.Ideas anyone?

I've had my 2595 and EcoRoute for quite a number of years now and keep it up to date. Never had any real problems with it and it has been thru every state in the lower 48 and 10k kilometers in Europe. Bar the occasional memory full, can not calculate route, or routing errors, and a battery change, it's worked great.

I upgraded my iphone 6 to OIS 9 as soon it came out. The only surprise was Garmin Smartphone Link app. Now when you open the app, you cannot see much on the icons, it is all white.

I am surprised that Company like Garmin will not test their app on IOS 9 betas and release an upgrade before hand like other companies did.
