Garmin nuvi 2460 LMT locks up/freezes

I use my nuvi on a daily basis. While traveling to my destination (already inputted address into nuvi), it locked up/froze.
It was warm to the touch and the last map image was still on the screen. Pressing the power button for several seconds did nothing.
I tried again about 15 minutes later and was able to power it down. It has behaved normally since the event (yesterday morning).
What happened and should I do anything maintenance-wise?

I wouldn't be to concerned about a single lockup as your Nuvi, like many other electronic devices, are sometimes prone this kind of things.
Also with a locked up screen like you had you normally would need to press and hold the power button for upwards of a minute, and sometimes longer, for the Nuvi to shutdown. Holding the power button for "several seconds" will not normally do the trick, as you found out. A minute can seem like a very long time when your attempting to get your GPS to shutdown.

A minute can seem like a very long time when your attempting to get your GPS to shutdown.
Especially when driving on the freeway, hah!
Had to resort to 'siri' and found out she couldn't understand my pronunciation of "El Monte" no matter how many times I tried to articulate that city name.
Thought I was saying "L Monte", I ended up saying the zip code.

If it happens again
I would suggest that you do a master reset to resolve this odd behavior.
