Trip Planner Question

I have only done my trip planning on Base Camp and not on my Garmin. Base Camp can reverse a trip, but I'm not sure if you can load your current trip from your Garmin to Base Camp.

Simply reversing the points might cause a bunch of trouble.

If you set waypoints to force your GPS to route you a specific direction, many waypoints will be direction sensitive. For example, it could be on the southbound side of I-75, going to Florida. Reversing the route, could have the GPS routing over to the southbound side.

When I create routing for a long trip, I use Basecamp to pre-plan the route. I create a Southbound Route and a second Northbound Route. I zoom each point to the max in Basecamp. Then I export as each direction to seperate GPX files, open in EPE and maximize the map for each point. I then switch to Satellite View and zom to the maximum possible. I then drag the marker to a point on the highway that will not cause any routing confusion.

I just follow the cookie crumbs.

But, as GPSgeek notes, you will have to fine tune some waypoints as mentioned here: I75 south (original waypoint) would need to be updated with a new waypoint, I75 north.
