Can the Nuvi display MGRS data instead of Lat/Lon data?

Hi Everyone, i have being trying to find the lcd replacement for my Garmin EDGE 500, i contacted Garmin and they are willing to do it but for 90$ which for me it seems ridiculous cause i'm sure those lcds wont cost more than 20$ . and it is pretty easy to disassemble and install. I have search in many places without success. if anyone has any idea please let me know .

Long time viewer but first post. I bought a nuvi 2757, love the unit but I am having some sound problems. I can load custom POI files and they show on the list of poi's but when driving there is no sound. Went through the poi loader and set the distance, have all the files named the same. I should say I have done this on my nuvi 765t. My question is what sound files work in the 2757.

This may have been asked before but I would like to know if there are available topo maps available to download and install for the 465?

I've been playing with custom routs lately. Is the a way to reverse a custom route?

I have been trying for a while to get this working I was happy when I was on I 95 and near a rest area and it went off but it was playing home on the range which was not in the restarea file, I was following Gare Hayman"s site so I usedthe computer to delete the POI file in my 2360 and also deleted the POI file on my computer then started anew downloaded restarea, Flying Js, Cracker Barrel, Lo

I have created some Custom POIs using EPE and they work fine. I get the proper alerts. I can set a route to any of them with no problems. However, when I try to save the Custom POIs to the my FAVORITES on my Garmin Nuvi 40LM, they show up but, the location is dramatically changed.

I just noticed that my nuvi is strange, like yesterday, you know it was september 11 memorial day, but at that day, my nuvi is going strange. I had this happened every year on September 11th. What happened is, first of all, my nuvi is slower for (e.g), when I entering the address or finding pois, it respond a lot slower then another day.

I have some dark vertical lines appearing on my 855 display. It appears to be a physical problem, rather than a software problem, but the lines are not visible when the GPS is powered off.

Does anyone know what causes this? The GPS is a few years old, but I still prefer it to the current models as it is packed with features like mp3 that I use.

I have a Garmin RV760 LMT. When I downloaded and installed the POI file from Passport America RV parks,I managed to get it onto my GPS twice.Can anybody tell me how to delete one of the files?

I'm currently using my 3597 with the included HD Digital Traffic receiver but I'm debating adding the Smartphone Live Traffic (through Garmin Smartphone Link $19.99) as well. It looks like it covers more cities and may be a nice adjunct to the HD Digital Traffic.

A friend has a Nuvi 1250. Can the JCV file be used in it? If so which size would it be? The Large, mid or small file?
If it can use it, I assume it should be on a micro SD card.

I know this has probably been talked about before at some point but I was curious to find out if I had taken a snap shot of my entire device via Mass Storage Mode (hidden files and all) awhile ago and then re-uploaded it back to the device which has newer firmware and newer map sets, would that in turn put back the old firmware along with the old map sets?

I have a 2597 and red light camera alerts work just fine. Now I want school zone alerts to work. I dl a school csv file and named a wav and bmp file the same as the school file yet no alerts show when approaching a school. I can find the schools under custop poi but how do I get the alerts to sound??

I have an 855 with current North American maps. I also have a Garmin nuvi 255T we bought in Germany. I have deleted all the gmappprom.gma .img .unl and .sum files from the 255 and copied in these same files from the 855.

On long trips I'll often mute the guidance voice, but I still want to hear POI alert tones. Anyone know of a way to still get the turn by turn guidance (no voice), and still revieve POI alerts sounds?

This was a fun replacement and definitely needed for my old 370.
Don't be afraid to try this one and instructions can be found on the web.
Be very careful though when pulling the 370 apart. I dislodged the wire ribbons that connect to the screen. They were a challenge to replace and I broke one of the clasps that lock the ribbon down.

Hi, if want to share some of my favorite files with a garmin 50 can it be done and how would I do it, I tried putting them on the micro sd but the garmin 50 did not respond to it, hope it can be done hope you can help Thanks!

Does anyone know how to restore the NTTS file back to the NUVI 465T? I deleted this file via my computer and I'd like to restore this file.
