installing MP3s and icons on Nuvi 2595LTM

Can anyone tell me how I can replace a built-in alert, like "Home... on left" with my own custom mp3 file?

Also, how can I match up a custom POI with a built-in icon, e.g. an ATM with the dollar-sign icon, etc.?

You can't delete or replace a built in poi.Custom pois are what you need.

The 2595 will not play mp3.You will need sox.exe and wav files see http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25730 .

Charlie has given the info you need to build Custom POIs.

Most POIs you would download have icons associated with them which you can download along with the .csv/.gpx file.

So, I was interested in why you wanted to match custom POIs with built-in icons?

I couldn't figure out why

I couldn't figure out why ATM machines, etc., were showing up without any icon - just a square. After the software updates and rebooting it seemed to have resolved itself.
