nuvi 24xx (GCD File) software version 3.60 - Oct. 8, 2013

There's a new software update available for nuvi 24xx folks from WebUpdater, Garmin Express and probably myDashboard (I use WebUpdater):

http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=5147

Change History

Changes made from version 3.50 to 3.60:

◦Updated and improved the FMI features.
◦Improved software stability.

Thanks For Advising

Appreciate the heads up for the software update.

For those that don't know what FMI is, it's abbreviated for Fleet Management Interface. I don't need it so that portion of upgrade is of no use to me and most others I suspect.

Thanks--

I'll let someone else explore the bleeding edge on this one, and update next weekend if we don't hear of any issues.

Stability

Yet another "improved software stability"!

Improved what?

If I was managing a software development effort and someone tried to check in an update labeled "stability improvement" I'd kick it out and chase them down with a stick.

At least give us a clue! What did you change? Why?

I don't often check the update status myself. I guess I depend on the kindness of strangers.

It would not be the first time updates ruined something, and certainly won't be the last. sad

Don't thank me wink Thank MrKenFL! Everytime there's a new Rest Areas Combined, I update my POI files--and before a POI update, I do a quick WebUpdater check for firmware and other updates.

I thank both of you.

Appreciate the heads up ... although I'm always a bit leery of installing an update on a GPS that's working well.

Oh well, here I go.
