A new update of GE V3.1.8.0 is ready.

I have been trying unsuccessfully to transfer a route from either MapSource or Basecamp to my 855. It would seem it should be quite straightforward. Is there something I am missing, other than selecting the "Send to Device" button?

I was recently told about routing dozens of stops here in town by loading a GPX file into a GPS, which will (or can?) theoretically arrange all such stops in the most efficient order, based upon the shortest rout, or else the fastest rout, depending on which priority I select. This would be ideal for a delivery driver, or anyone who needs to find many new addresses each day.

Looking for a second unit either 4.3 or 5 inch. A list of voice command units would be helpful. Anyone have such a list that you are willing to share?

Hello, my Garmin 2555LMT comes with 3D traffic but no 3D maps. Would anyone know if there is a way to get 3D maps on this device? Thanks.

Paragon one of the leaders in backup utilities just came out with FREE backup software. No need to spend $$ for extra features. It does a quick job right out of the default install. It took less than 1 minute to backup my 2460LMT.

I've made a discovery in the apparent way routes are calculated. Many of you have complained that various Garmins will refuse to route a road even when it is decidedly shorter and faster. Even with Trends on and repeatedly using this road.

There seems to be a problem with the (NOP) (No overnight parking) comment in "WalMart, Sam's Clubs, and Super WalMart Centers in the United States & Canada"

I have just called four Walmart and one Sam's Club in South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia that were marked as (NOP). They all said overnight parking was welcome at their locations.

I should be ashamed of myself. I have been away for a long time. I got a smart phone last year and decided that I no longer needed my Garmin. Yes, I am an idiot. I gave away my 1690 as I thought that the smart phone would be better in the long run. "Wrong". I am looking at getting a new on and like the HD Traffic, any opinions out there?

In looking at the various files on my 2460 I found a files in the .system folder named UStats.log. This file appears to log what you have done on the keyboard. I always get a little concerned when I find any file that tracks what I do. Especially, when I don't know about it.

Any comments here?

Does anyone know if it is possible to install a custom icon for your "home" location?

I recently updated my Nuvi's mapset to 2014.40. I also downloaded voice updates. I have been using "Jack" but since update I think Jack's voice has taken a step backward. He now mispronounces relatively simple street names. Any one else notice this or is it just me.

Has anyone noticed that the length and breadth of I-80 through Nebraska is flawed? If you have 40 tons as a maximum gross weight (and in some other states for parts of roads) it will not route you on I80. In fact, if you have anything over 9 tons you will not be routed on I80. This has to be due to this http://imgur.com/Mwcfy3w and someone being confused as to its meaning.

So, does anyone know if Garmin's 2014 product line for vehicles will be limited to the Essential Line? No additional "Advanced" or "Prestige" series this year? Thanks.

Hallo, does anyone have any experience with the smartphone-app that works together with the nuvi 3597?

What i want to do is to send a place from an app in my smartphone to my Nuvi, they seem to connect but i dont know where the place i sent should appear in my garmin. Anyone around here knows something?

How exactly did I get a Windmill? Didn't find anything in the FAQs or postings. I also see people with various "Badges of Honor" I would suspect there is some criteria for those, too.

I am looking at upgrading my Garmin 265T to a 2595lmt or 2495lmt.
Do these models need a sd card for maps?
When you do a map update does the new map overwrite the old one?
I did look at a TomTom and I noticed that it has rest stops as poi that you can set a distance warning preloaded.
Do the Garmins have such a feature or do you still need to download the rest stops from POI factory?
