Sorry for this post, i've bin looking for almost an hour through these posts to find the Garmin web page that shows me which version of map is available for my 765t. I know its here somewhere.

I mount my GPS in the upper storage hole in the dash. 2005 Altima. The C320 sounded great. I have my new 255W mounted in the same place. Volume is at 80 and I can hardly hear it. Cranking it up more causes distortion out of that tiny speaker.
I was thinking of
1. Taking it back for a model that has an ext spkr jack. 2. Building an amplifier using a mike stuck to the rear near the speaker.

Interesting at least to me.

I noticed with my last map update to my Garmin
C530 that the newly finished Hwy I-64 through downtown
St. Louis was NOT in the update due to the routing
that I was getting from Downtown to home. I would also
get the recalculating as I was on the new road as the
gps tried to route me off of a "closed" road.

Forgive me if this question was a topic in past, but as a new Garmin user, even after reading of numerous topics about it, I've hit a point where I need help from more experienced users.

Is it normal to get one audio alert even if you drive below the speed limit set for certain camera?

New Nuvi owner here... basic question - I purchased a nuvi 265WT, which the specs say it can accomodate 1000 waypoints. Two questions:

(1) Does this mean that If I use a POI file, I can only use 1000 of the entries? Are custom POI's considered waypoints?

I have a motorola phone car charger wanted to use it as a spare 255W's charger to keep in another car but turned out it didn't work. When I plugged in, it showed charging mode (not navigate mode).

And I also have a car chager to usb, tried to plug in and result the same, no navigating mode. Therefore, the only car charger and navigating is the one comes with the divice.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a problem I'm having. Im tryin uploads rest area alerts to my garmin and I can not figure out how to do it exactly. If anyone knows how to do this I would great appreciate any feedback/help that I can get.

I recently purchased a nuvi 255W and im trying to understand how the red light camera detection works. Is this option on the unit already or do I have to download a POI file and install it with POILoader onto my gps unit?

I have a 660, and I would like to get a second cradle for a second vehicle. I see several on ebay that say they are for the 300, 310, 350, 360, and 370. Do these models have a different cradle than the 660? The picture looks very similar.

Does anyone use it? I have it in addition to my portable Garmin units and I have been waiting for the next version or updates for it. I was curious if anyone knew of any upcoming updates for the maps or the application.

I noticed that on the highway the 765T zooms out, I am guessing based on speed being travelled. In the city (at lower speeds) it automatically zooms in again.

I have a POI folder on my desk top with some poi's in all ready and wanna put them on my nuvi how and will the nuvi reconize that folder from my desk top to install them from there.I also have the poi loader all downloaded and installed.i have the garmin nuvi 755T.

I just bought a Nuvi 1450 GPS with 5" LCD. Can anyone recommend a cheap case? It does not have to carry Garmin logo.

Where's my stuff? I d/l the tim hortons csv for my 755t, add it, and all that show up are the ones in my City. Open the csv file with Excel and there are tons of them in there. Gotta be the dummy behind the keyboard?

So the ball socket on the back of my c530 wasn't holding real well, so I wrote to Garmin inquiring into a replacement part. They responded that it would cost $99 to repair. When I pushed back, another service rep offered to fix it under warranty (unit is two years old). So I wrapped it up and sent it off. I got a replacement pretty quickly and it was in perfect shape.

I programmed a route from my office to my home.

I noticed tonight two things while I was driving home

1) The speed (on the right bottom) of my Garmin 1450 was sitting at 20 MPH and I was driving 45 MPH and then when I stopped, it was showing 48 MPH.

After the last NuMaps update, my 780 started freezing every afternoon as I am about to turn onto the freeway (for the AZ locals, US10 and 40th Street)

My MSN subscription expired at about the same time, I am not sure whether this could be a cause or not, and until I figure this out, don't want to subscribe just yet.

I heard that Garmin will provide a mapsource CD if you request it from them. _americian users...as it is not included in the package with the unit

I purchased a 255w while in the US but are now back in Australia -- does anyone know if this would qualify for the CD or any other suggestions?

i'm new at this so bare with me. i made a folder to put the files in but can you name the folder anything you want. downloaded the walmart poi and the mp3. i typed walmart.csv and walmart.mp3 and put the files in the folder. i used poi loader to load on the garmin gps and nothing happened. if i did install it right will a proximity alert points show up in settings.
