Free Garmin map Source

I heard that Garmin will provide a mapsource CD if you request it from them. _americian users...as it is not included in the package with the unit
I purchased a 255w while in the US but are now back in Australia -- does anyone know if this would qualify for the CD 
or any other suggestions?

Back in September 2209 I was having a small problem and called tech support. He told me that they no longer send any maps, or software on a CD, it is all downloaded now.
Unless you are the lead sled dog, the view never changes. I is retard... every day is Saturday! I still use the Garmin 3590 LMT even tho I upgraded to the Garmin 61 LMT. Bigger screen is not always better in my opinion.

Yes - It is usually included with any of Garmin's map software to allow the user to use it on their PC.
It will go out and download the latest version as part of the installation when it installs the maps on the PC.
