rest areas help

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a problem I'm having. Im tryin uploads rest area alerts to my garmin and I can not figure out how to do it exactly. If anyone knows how to do this I would great appreciate any feedback/help that I can get.

I see you have the Garmin 1300.If you plan to set up voice alerts you will need to use wav files.The 1300 will not play mp3. Here is something I typed out that may get you started on your custom pois. http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25721
