Apple has just released a Rapid Security Response update, version 16.4.1 (a), which the company says “provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users." Rapid Security Responses, according to Apple, "are a new type of software release for iPhone, iPad, and Mac." These security improvements arrive between software updates.

Got the notification tonight.

This update provides important bug fixes and security updates for your iPhone including:
Pushing hands emoji does not show skin tone variations
Siri does not respond in some cases

New Features: Phone Call Voice Isolation, iCloud Duplicate Image Detection

iOS 16.4 has just been released for download, introducing new emojis, web push notifications, and a handful of other new features and updates.

Additionally, the update also includes support for Voice Isolation for cellular phone calls in addition to VoIP calls, such as FaceTime or WhatsApp.

My 2019 Subaru Forester always automatically updated the time change. Every time the audio head unit boots up, the time on the Subaru clock is updated in Bluetooth at the same time Contacts is downloaded.

The Contacts worked fine in the audio head unit, but the time update no longer worked when I got a Google Pixel 4A (no 5G).

Apple today released iOS 16.3.1, a minor update for the iOS 16 operating system that first came out in September. iOS 16.3.1 comes over two weeks after the launch of iOS 16.3, an update that added Security Keys for Apple ID and support for the new HomePod.

Apple today released iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 for iPhone and iPad, after rolling out a Release Candidate build last week.

You can update your iPhone or iPad by going to Settings > General > Software Update

Apple has released iOS 16.1.2 for iPhone users, offering “important security updates” and some enhancements. The download comes in at 336.2MB for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Apple says the updates include improved compatibility with wireless carriers, while there are Crash Detection optimizations for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models.
There is no release of iPadOS 16.1.2 yet.

Apple has released iOS 16.1 and iPadOS 16.1 for download for iPhone and iPad (finally).

You can update your iPhone or iPad by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

I ran across something recently about Google rewarding contributors to corrections for Google Maps. They give Google Fi airtime. This is the first I have heard of it. Does anybody here know anything more about this?

I downloaded and installed iPadOS 15.7 on my iPad Air (5th generation) over the weekend. Everything went smoothly and it seems to be working without problems.

Apple has released iOS 16.0.3 for iPhone users on Monday, with this release offering a variety of bug fixes, most for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro

Apple also released watchOS 9.0.2 today as well.

With Bug Fixes for iPhone 14 Pro and More

Apple has released iOS 16.0.2 with several bug fixes. Notably, the update addresses an issue with the rear camera shaking and vibrating uncontrollably on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The last time was Nov. 2018, got the iPhone (my first) Xs for $249. That's my budget really.

Friday, ordered the iPhone 13 Pro and it turned out to be $298. I guess they want to get rid of them. At work some 14 Pro's shipped.

There are two catches.

1. Has to be a new line so new number, it's not an upgrade

iOS 16, the next version of Apple's iPhone software, becomes available for download today (September 12). And if you've been following along since Apple first previewed the update at its developer conference in June through the subsequent public beta release, you'll know exactly what to expect

With iOS 16, iPadOS 16 and more coming this fall, don’t expect major features to be released in this iOS 15.6.1 update, but rather bug fixes and likely some security and performance updates
