The final big update to iOS 17?
iOS 17.6 arrives late in the life cycle of iOS 17, and follows May’s debut of iOS 17.5. We’re two months out from iOS 18’s expected September release, so it’s possible there could be an iOS 17.7 on the horizon.
However, it’s also just as likely this is the last notable release iOS 17 will receive.

We updated...
...two iPhones and two iPads with no issues at all other than the older iPad needing a longer time than usual to update. I wonder if that will be the last regular update for that one getting a little long in the tooth.

Highly recommended for security

These updates, iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6, were released for the latest generation iPhone and iPad devices with fixes for 35 security defects that could lead to authentication and policy bypasses, unexpected application termination or system shutdown, information disclosure, denial-of-service (DoS), and memory leaks.
I've done the update on two iPads and like others have said, no issues.

True story inspired people
Last decade, I do believe in what you already say here, but NOT now.
When I was in their current system, I used to have Android. Then one day one guy working for security told me he did switch to iOS due to their security better. You guess what? I did switch to iPhone in my life.
Then one day, they did find out there's info about me in police force, then they were panic despite of none of clear evidence that I used to be in any agencies. Every day they did show my profile over projectors in special room with many remote video talking about "security breach" meaning their evil doings could be breach out to the public.
One of their doings was called to Apple to have all information about me on my phone.
Look, if you could find out their doings in last pandemic before it happened then you can wish they could find anything on my phone.
But it's the real thing in case they want to find out whole information about you, they can give away your credentials to the bad man to put you down on the road
Then whole talking point about security updates, no more relevant issues if you're smart enough.
Take cares and hope it's true!
Thanks for the info.
