For anybody using a tablet for navigation, have you ever tried split screen mode and using two different navigation apps at the same time? If so, did it work well or was in confusing?
EDIT: It looks like it is possible. Now I need to take a crack at it.

I use my phone to monitor my exercise distance using wahoo app. Before launching the app, I'll open gps toolbox to get an initial reading (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eclipsim.g...). Once the exercise app is running, I can still open the gps toolbox to get a reading, fine detailed speed ( mph to the tenths place) and other details.

That is exactly what I am thinking.
Just tried it on a Samsung Tab A9
I opened TomTom and a boat navigation app using split screen. Both apps can receive the gps signal. My guess is that it will work. Both apps I used can run in the background, thou in split screen mode, both apps are in foreground.
