Adding Android Auto To A Vehicle

I am definitely late to this party. I also know that there have been previous Android Auto threads, but I am starting a new one because the others were a bit dated.

I have Android Auto in our newest vehicle. My wife likes it. I am just starting to look into adding it to another vehicle of ours.

I see some devices on Amazon that look like GPS navigators. Has anybody here used one of those? If so, how well does it work for you?

I just got a 2018 Navion/MB Sprinter that came with a dash unit using a no longer supported or updated Rand McNally nav system, and I'm interested in these Amazon units myself so I'll be following!
