Smartphone Virus?

I was doing a search on my iPhone yesterday using Siri, when I suddenly got a pop up screen saying my phone was 28.6% damaged by two viruses! The message had a Google header that looked official. It said to go to the App Store and download an anti virus app. Unless I did this immediately, my Simm card, photos and contact list would be affected.

I closed the browser and didn't download the app. My phone is still working fine so I assume it was some sort of scam. Has anyone else seen this?

I did find this youtube on the subject which indicates it likely is a scam:"

Scam certain

The message you report was surely a scam.

What on earth would 28.6% damaged even mean?

As to whether there actually are smart phone viruses, I think the answer must be that there are or will be. Why would the platform be immune?

I’ve gotten this message a few times

I just close everything down and start again.
IPhones are not immune from viruses but from what I have read, it’s like 99% safe. You have to watch Google. People try to do some wonkie things through their platform.
