POI.csv files with the phone number and no "dial" icon on the screen???

Hi Everyone,

I have a question about a POI.csv file I created. The file displays the name, address "and" phone number, however, unlike the built-in POI's, I can't dial the phone number on my POI.csv, because the "Dial" icon doesn’t appear on the screen.

Is there something I can do to the POI.csv file to make the "Dial" icon on the screen appear, allowing me to dial the phone number, on the screen?

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Need to save it as a GPX file

With the phone number in the proper xml syntax.

You can do this with fellow Factory user Phil Hornby's GeePeeX editor.

GPX

I believe the only way the phone icon will appear is if you have a .gpx file, not a .csv file.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Hi kch50428,

Unfortunately, for me, Phil Hornby's GeePeeX editor is a PC application and I'm on the Mac platform.

Any GPX editors for the Mac OS?

.

If you search for the word "dialable", you will find some previous discussions on the subject.

I'm not sure about any on the the Mac, though?

Hi lsmonop,

Suggestion #1 - You probably just don't understand "why" Mac users..."are" Mac users, but that's...OK (big grin)
Suggestion #2 - That's very probable. I have a general knowledge of HTML.
Suggestion #3 - A definite "yes".

Thanks for your help...
