2730 on mac?

Hello all I just joined up today, this is just the site I have been looking for. I have the Garmin 2730 and I have been using it on my windows laptop, I want to start using it on my macbook pro. I tried hooking it up to my mac but it is not recognized, the disc that came with the unit is for windows. Is there a way to get the mac to recognize the unit? What good is the POI loader and mapsource for mac if the computer can't recognize the unit? Sorry for the long post.

I don't think that the 2730 is Mac compatible.

And there's no MapSource for Macs yet.

Thanks for the quick reply. I meant map update not mapSource, but if the 2730 is not compatible then the question is moot.
