Watch out for Gmail’s new Confidential Mode
Watch out for Gmail’s new Confidential Mode
It’s easy and useful, but Google’s new ‘secure email’ is neither secure nor email.
Most email can either be secure or easy to use. You can have one but not both.
That’s why people are so excited about a new feature in Google’s Gmail. It’s called Confidential Mode, and it’s an easy way to make email more private.

The Best 5 Features From The New Gmail
by Leah Heilbrunn April 27, 2018 at 12:40 PM
After years of the same utilitarian, gray, and “meh” all around platform, the new Gmail update is giving the email service a new face. While functional, old Gmail lacks the efficiency and integration that's key to a good user experience. I went hands-on with the new features and discovered there was something worth pinging home about.

by Lucian Armasu April 30, 2018 at 2:07 PM - Source: Computest
Daan Keuper and Thijs Alkemade, two researchers from a Dutch security firm Computest, discovered a flaw in Volkswagen and Audi cars that attackers could exploit remotely, over the internet. Volkswagen will not patch the flaw, as those car models lack the capability to be updated over-the-air.

NY to Falls Church VA and I-95 speed cameras
We are driving from New York City to Falls Church, Virginia. The route looks simple: I-95 south from NY straight through Baltimore, then west on I-495 to Falls Church, 5 hours without traffic.
There is an alternate route to the northwest through Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on I-78, I-76, US-15, and I-270 that would take about 6 hours.

GPS Infrastructure At 40, What's Ahead?
As someone who installed proprietary positioning systems and navigated geophysical industry vessels around the northern Gulf of Mexico and Eastern Seaboard even before the existence of LORAN and the later LORAN-C, I've always been interested in the technical side and applications of GPS technology, at least partially because of it's use of atomic clocks and satellites that were integral to

I efiled for the first time
I have a reason why I didn't until TY2017. The software has a glitch because I work in one state and live in another. I figured out I had to put a "0" in a box and suddenly I could efile. My refund was deposited 10 days after I efiled, amazing. When mailing, I would start looking 14 days later, and one of the days it would show as received. efile? 1 hour later.

First Day for the New Gmail
Today is the first day for the new Gmail with phishing protection that runs on Chrome for the PC. This is to prevent ransomware from being delivered to your PC. In Gmail, click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "Try the new Gmail."
After I did this, Gmail crashed immediately. After restarting Chrome, everything was all right with the new Gmail running.

Happy Mother's Day!
May your day be filled with joy and happiness. Have a Happy Mother's Day!
