The Microsoft Build 2017 Recap: What To Expect When You're Expecting Windows

Microsoft’s Build conference is one of their most important shows of the year, with a developer focused discussion that provides some guidance on the direction of Microsoft and its platforms. Get Ready for the Next Big Privacy Backlash Against Facebook

Data mining is such a prosaic part of our online lives that it’s hard to sustain consumer interest in it, much less outrage. The modern condition means constantly clicking against our better judgement. We go to bed anxious about the surveillance apparatus lurking just beneath our social media feeds, then wake up to mindlessly scroll, Like, Heart, Wow, and Fave another day.

USB Power Strips

I am in the market for a couple of power strips with USB ports. What are some with the greatest number of AC outlets and USB ports? I have seen the one from Monoprice, which is 12 AC outlets and 2 USB ports.

I have also seen one from Anker that is only 6 AC outlets, but has 4 USB ports. Does anybody happen to know if there are any that have 12 AC outlets and 4, or more, USB ports?

FCC's Mike O'Rielly tells alec FCC SHOULD BAN State Laws on Broadband, Privacy Consumer protection

Republican FCC Commissioner Mike O’Rielly wants the FCC to prohibit states from attempting an end run around the current majority’s broad-based deregulation of ISPs, likening it to a war of socialist forces vs. free market capitalism.

Maine Moves to Protect Broadband Privacy in Wake of GOP Sellout

Last March March, the GOP used the Congressional Review Act to kill FCC broadband privacy protections that would have given consumers significantly more control over their own data. As we noted at the time, States from Wisconsin to Washington rushed in to pass their own rules protecting consumer broadband privacy, creating a patchy framework where some consumers are protected, and some aren't.

This is the place to talk about things that are not GPS related.

This thread will be closed on Monday and a new one will be opened.

Inaccurate Waypoints

Can someone explain why some of the GPS POI files that are uploaded are so inaccurate? I'm editing a file of Walmart stores and some of the locations are so off the mark it isn't funny. I'd be ashamed to have my name attached to anything that was so useless.
